Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health in Nashua, NH is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a full-time day shift (three 12-hour shifts, 7am–7pm). This role performs respiratory care with hospital policy and advanced technology to support patient outcomes.

You will manage ABGs, ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP and respond to emergencies. AMA Respiratory Practitioner program, NH State RCP license, and CPR are required; ACLS/NRP/PALS are preferred. A $20,000 sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of an AMA Respiratory Practitioner program.
• Major competency verifications completed on a yearly basis.
• Current NH State RCP license.
• CPR certification required; ACLS/NRP/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy orders throughout the hospital.
• Draw arterial blood gases (ABGs) and analyze samples.
• Manage life-support ventilators and BiPAP/CPAP devices.
• Respond to Codes/Emergencies for airway management.

About the Job:

Performs all aspects of respiratory care within practice guidelines and approved hospital policy and procedures.

What You’ll Do:

• Performance of respiratory therapy orders throughout the hospital
• Drawing of arterial blood gases, analyzing ABGs and cord/venous/capillary samples
• Management of life support ventilators and BiPAP/CPAP
• Respond to Codes/Emergencies for airway management

Who You Are:

• Requires satisfactory completion of an approved AMA Respiratory Practitioner program required.
• Completes all major competency verifications on a yearly basis required.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist credential required.
• Current NH State RCP license required and must be maintained throughout the duration of employment in the position.
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required and must be maintained throughout the duration of employment in the position.
• 1 year experience acute care setting preferred.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications preferred.
