Job summary

Loyola Medicine, part of Trinity Health, seeks a Respiratory Therapist for night shifts in the Chicago area. You will perform day-to-day respiratory care, initiate oxygen, assist ER patients, and manage advanced ventilation and medication administration.

Accurate data recording of ventilatory volumes, pressures, and blood gases is required. Qualifications include an associate degree in respiratory care, CPR/BLS, IL licensure as a Respiratory Therapist, NBRC CRT credential, and obtaining CRT

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory care; bachelor's preferred.
• CPR/BLS - American Heart Association.
• Current IL state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through NBRC.
• Must obtain CRT credential and IL state licensure within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day Respiratory Care, including bronchial hygiene, oxygen initiation and follow-up, and ER patient care.
• Sets up and performs complex respiratory procedures such as ventilation and medication administration; records data.

Education

Associate degree in respiratory care

What you'll do:

• Performs day-to-day Respiratory Care, including bronchial hygiene procedures, oxygen initiation and follow up, and care of the Emergency Room patients in need of Respiratory Services. Sets up and performs complex respiratory care procedures such as continuous artificial ventilation and administration or medications. Records patient data to include ventilatory volumes, pressure/flows, and blood gas analysis.

What you'll need for this job:

• Associate degree in respiratory care; bachelor's preferred

Pay Rate: $41.35 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
