Job summary

Loyola Medicine in Illinois is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. You will administer treatments, manage ventilators, and support a level I trauma center with advanced respiratory services.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory care required
• Illinois RT license (or within 6 months)
• CRT (NBRC) required
• BLS (AHA) required
• NRP & PALS within 90 days (effective July 1, 2025)
• RRT NBRC (or within 6 months) for higher level

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

As a Respiratory Therapist with Loyola, you will:

• Deliver respiratory care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations

• Administer treatments, manage ventilators, and perform diagnostics

Required Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in respiratory care

• Illinois RT license (or within 6 months)

• CRT (NBRC)

• BLS (AHA)

• NRP & PALS within 90 days (effective July 1, 2025)

Preferred Qualifications:

• ACLS

• NPS and/or ACCS credentials

RT 2 --

• Associate degree in respiratory care; Bachelor's preferred

• CPR/BLS - American Heart Association

• Current IL state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (or within 6 months of hire)

• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through NBRC (or within 6 months of hire)

• NRP & PALS within 90 days (effective July 1, 2025)

RT 3 --

• Associate degree in respiratory care; Bachelor's preferred

• 3 years of previous job-related experience

• CPR/BLS - American Heart Association

• Current IL state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through NBRC

Compensation:

Respiratory Therapist II Pay Range: $36.50 - $48.84 per hour

Respiratory Therapist III Pay Range:$36.50 - $50.71 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
