Job summary

Sanford Health in Bemidji, MN is hiring a Respiratory Therapist for a full-time night shift. You will assess patients, measure lung capacity, and provide diagnosis-based treatment suggestions across clinical areas from general floors to critical care.

This position offers a $30,000/2 years or $40,000/3 years sign-on option, competitive pay, shift differentials, generous benefits, 401K, paid time off and opportunities for advancement. NBRC-registered with BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited program; minimum associate degree or NBRC-equivalent.
• Knowledge of procedures, indications, contraindications and hazards in respiratory care.
• Ability to use computers for patient documentation and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to prevent, detect, monitor and manage disease and complications.

Qualifications

• A degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited respiratory care program is required; minimum associate degree or equivalent as defined by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Respiratory Therapists must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all procedures, indications, contraindications and hazards involved in respiratory care, as well as knowledge of equipment utilized in their department.
• Demonstrates the ability and knowledge required to utilize computers for patient documentation and data gathering for quality care.
• Must complete orientations, competency validations, and other in‑servicing as required by the department and hospital.
• Must have current Respiratory Therapy licensure in state(s) of practice and/or possess multi‑state licensure privileges as required by position.
• Must have Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials as attained through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and maintain active status according to NBRC credentialing requirements.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. Must obtain site‑specific specialty credential(s) such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), etc.
