Role:

Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)

Responsibilities:

Assess patients' respiratory needs, develop and implement treatment plans, perform therapeutic modalities (e.g., aerosolized meds, oxygen therapy, airway management), manage mechanical ventilators, provide patient and family education, assist with intra-hospital transport, handle emergency airway situations, monitor using non-invasive devices, collect arterial blood gases, and support discharge planning. Additionally, assist with procedures like bronchoscopy and invasive line placement, function as a shift coordinator, and serve as a preceptor for students and new staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

Graduate from a specialty training program, with certifications such as ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS required. Ability to operate advanced equipment, collaborate effectively with medical teams, and adhere to safety and regulatory standards. Strong communication, assessment, and patient care skills are essential.
