Job description

Role:

Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)

Responsibilities include:

Assessing patients' respiratory needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, performing therapeutic modalities (e.g., aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, secretion management), managing mechanical ventilators, providing patient and family education, assisting with airway management and intra-hospital transport, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role also involves collecting blood gases, supporting fiberoptic procedures, and functioning as a charge person and preceptor.

Qualifications and Skills:

Graduate from a Specialty Training Program, with experience in clinical settings. Knowledge of evidence-based practices, protocol-driven care, and advanced equipment. Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills. Ability to operate state-of-the-art technology and respond effectively in emergent situations.

Key Duties:

Performing patient assessments, establishing care plans, collaborating with healthcare team, managing respiratory therapies, and supporting patient discharge planning when applicable. Adheres to safety and regulatory standards and maintains patient confidentiality.
