Job summary

LCMC Health is seeking a seasoned Respiratory Therapist to join West Jefferson Medical Center in Louisiana. You’ll provide hands-on care for high-acuity and general respiratory needs, including ventilator management, airway support, and delivery of therapies.

This Night shift role emphasizes compassionate, patient-first care, collaboration with a dedicated team, and adherence to infection control standards in a busy clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist with NBRC certification.
• Current BLS/CPR (AHA) certification, ACLS and PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage ventilators and adjust settings per patient needs.
• Assist with arterial punctures and airway management.
• Support high-acuity responses such as Code III.
• Assist with bronchoscopies and intubations as needed.
• Deliver oxygen, aerosol therapies, CPT, IPPB, incentive spirometry, etc.
• Monitor equipment and ensure safe operation and infection control.
• Educate patients and families to empower informed decisions.
• Collaborate with the care team to provide holistic respiratory care.

You’ll be hands-on with both critical and general care, including:

• - Managing ventilators and adjusting settings based on patient needs
