Job summary

100 LCMC Health is seeking a Resident Respiratory Therapist to deliver high-quality care at East Jefferson General Hospital in Louisiana. You will manage ventilators, support airway management, and participate in high-acuity responses within a collaborative team.

The role emphasizes patient education, infection control, and safety standards, with a shift in Days at our New Orleans-area facility. Certification and licensure are required to ensure exceptional care.

Qualifications

• Licensed RT and NBRC-registered with current BLS/CPR.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail.
• Able to prioritize in fast-paced environments.
• Patient-first mindset and effective team communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage ventilators and adjust settings per patient needs.
• Perform arterial punctures and assist airway management.
• Support high-acuity events like Code III responses.
• Assist with bronchoscopies and intubations.
• Deliver therapies (oxygen, aerosol, CPT, IPPB, incentive spirometry).
• Educate patients and families to empower them.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
