Job description

Role Overview

The Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT) provides comprehensive respiratory care, including assessment, treatment planning, and execution of therapies such as aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and mechanical ventilation.

Key Responsibilities

Perform patient assessments, establish care plans, communicate with healthcare team, manage ventilators, provide patient and family education, assist with airway management and invasive procedures, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

Graduate from a specialty training program, with strong clinical assessment, technical proficiency in respiratory modalities, and effective communication skills. Ability to function as a shift coordinator and preceptor is preferred.

Additional Duties

Support intra-hospital patient transport, assist with bronchoscopy procedures, manage monitoring equipment, and contribute to discharge planning. Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to safety standards.
