Job description

Role

Full-time Registered Respiratory Therapist responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering patient respiratory care.

Responsibilities

Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, perform therapeutic modalities (e.g., aerosolized meds, oxygen therapy, artificial airway care), manage mechanical ventilation, and provide patient and family education. Assist with intra-hospital transport, acute airway management, and invasive procedures like bronchoscopy and monitoring line placement. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements while maintaining patient confidentiality. Collaborate with medical teams and utilize state-of-the-art equipment. Support intra-team communication and participate in quality care practices based on evidence-based medicine.

Qualifications & Skills

Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Respiratory Therapy (required). Demonstrates proficiency in airway management, ventilator operation, and therapeutic techniques. Ability to work in a team, communicate effectively, and adhere to safety standards. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends, with every other weekend and holiday work required.
