Job summary

Florida Rehabilitation Hospital at Tampa is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide safe respiratory care per physician orders, monitor ventilation, and support patient assessments in a new facility with state-of-the-art equipment. You will collaborate with the care team, administer medications, review blood work results, and participate in teaching and training.

Minimum qualifications include active RRT licensure and BLS from AHA/Red Cross; online cert not accepted.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist licensed in the state.
• BLS certification required by AHA/Red Cross; online certification not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe respiratory care as ordered by physician.
• Monitor mechanical ventilation and patient status.
• Administer medications and assess blood work results.
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring and patient education.
• Collaborate with care team and train staff as needed.

Florida Rehabilitation Hospital at Tampa located at Woodstork and Temple Terrace is opening February 2025. Join our team to work in a beautiful new hospital with 60 private patient rooms and 2 rehab therapy gyms with cutting-edge technology.

Position Summary:

Responsible for administering safe and competent respiratory care as ordered per physician, monitoring mechanical ventilation, administering medications, patient assessment, understanding ramifications of hemodynamic monitoring, understanding blood work results, monitoring, teaching, and training.

Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist for state licensure agency
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.

Desired Qualifications:

• Hospital experience preferred
