Job summary

Florida Rehabilitation Hospital at Tampa is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients, develop treatment strategies, and deliver rehabilitation services aimed at maximizing functional independence.

You will work in a 60-bed hospital with 2 rehab gyms, and a supportive team, with pay based on experience. BLS certification required; inpatient rehab experience preferred; strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross is required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients independently and determine treatment strategies.
• Deliver and/or delegate rehabilitation services to maximize functional independence.
• Assess strength, mobility, balance, and daily living activities to guide care.
• Collaborate with the team to plan and adjust therapy programs as needed.

Florida Rehabilitation Hospital at Tampa located at Woodstork and Temple Terrace . Join our team to work in a beautiful new hospital with 60 private patient rooms and 2 rehab therapy gyms with cutting-edge technology.

Position Summary:

Independently evaluates, determines treatment strategies, delivers and/or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain, with emphasis on physical dysfunction. This role encompasses evaluation skills and techniques, analysis of patients, and therapeutic application of physical and chemical agents, exercise and other procedures to maximize the patient's functional independence. Evaluation involves strength, motor control, joint mobility, soft tissue integrity, pain, balance, coordination, posture, cardiopulmonary function, endurance, gait and functional abilities in activities of daily living.

Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current state licensure as an Physical Therapist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.

Desired Qualifications:
