Vital Medical Staffing in Lafayette, LA is seeking a dependable Respiratory Therapist to join our PRN team. This role offers flexible scheduling, last-minute coverage, and work across hospitals, long-term care facilities, behavioral health settings and clinics.

As a PRN Respiratory Therapist, you’ll perform assessments and treatments, administer oxygen, monitor status, and document care. You must have an approved respiratory care program, LA license, BLS and ACLS, TB test, and at least one year

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved respiratory care program.
• Active Louisiana Respiratory Therapist License.
• Current BLS certification (in person with an instructor).
• Current ACLS certification.
• Valid TB Test.
• Minimum of one year experience.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Reliable transportation.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work PRN and accept last-minute shifts.

Responsibilities

• As a PRN Respiratory Therapist, provide respiratory assessments and treatments.
• Administer oxygen therapy and breathing treatments as needed.
• Monitor patient respiratory status and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
• Communicate clearly with facility staff and staffing team.

Vital Medical Staffing is looking for dependable, skilled Respiratory Therapists to join our PRN team. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys flexible scheduling, works well with others, and understands how important it is to show up when patients and facilities need support the most.

We work with hospitals, long-term care facilities, behavioral health settings, and clinics. Many of our RT assignments are PRN and last-minute coverage needs, so reliability and communication are very important. As a PRN Respiratory Therapist, you’ll be providing respiratory assessments and treatments to patients while following each facility’s policies and procedures. Your responsibilities may include administering oxygen therapy and breathing treatments, monitoring patient respiratory status, responding to emergencies, and maintaining accurate documentation of care provided.

You’ll be expected to communicate clearly with facility staff and our staffing team, arrive on time for scheduled shifts, and be ready to step in where help is needed. Our facilities rely on us to send Respiratory Therapists who are dependable, respectful, and clinically sound.
