Job summary

Select Medical in Rochelle Park, NJ is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for per diem/per diem shifts. The RT will evaluate patients, provide advanced respiratory care, and participate in weaning and extubation as needed.

The role offers 12-hour shifts with day or night options, a $55 per hour base pay plus shift differential, and a $7,500 sign-on bonus. This PRN position supports patient care across critical illness recovery services.

Qualifications

• Active NBRC CRT or RRT credential required.
• BLS certification required by start date.
• Current state licensure required; ACLS required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
