Job summary

Join Select Specialty Hospital - Jackson as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) on a Per Diem/PRN basis. You will work 12-hour day or night shifts in a critical illness recovery setting, delivering specialized respiratory care to chronically ill patients recovering from ICU stays.

Required NBRC CRT or RRT credentials, current state licensure, and BLS; ACLS is required upon hire. This role offers part‑time per diem opportunities with potential for advancement and retirement plan eligibility based on

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement in patient care.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT) - Per Diem/ PRN

Location: Select Specialty Hospital - Jackson

Schedule: Day or Night available -12 hour shifts

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
