A critical illness recovery hospital in Atlantic City is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for per diem shifts. This role involves evaluating patients, providing respiratory care for critical conditions, and supporting families. Candidates must possess an active CRT or RRT credential and have Basic Life Support certification by the start date. Qualifications

• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients/families.

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess an active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift).

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of related experience is preferred.
