Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Southeast OH in Newark, OH is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for per diem/PRN, 12-hour night shifts. Compensation is $45.00 per hour with a $7,500 sign-on bonus. The role involves evaluating patients, providing respiratory care, and supporting quality improvement in a post-ICU setting.

Minimum requirements include Active NBRC credential, graduation proof, BLS, current state licensure, and ACLS upon hire. Prior related experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• NBRC credential: Active CRT or RRT (state equivalent acceptable).
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required upon hire (agency RT must have ACLS from first shift).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and recommend an appropriate treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical/complex medical conditions.
• Perform insertion/removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
