Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed respiratory therapist by the applicable state where services will be performed.
• Obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date.
• One year of respiratory therapist experience required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, and Point of Care Technician certifications per department.
• Preferred: Registered Respiratory Therapist; two years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic and advanced respiratory therapies by physician order.
• Assembles, checks, and maintains respiratory care equipment.
• Initiates, maintains, and discontinues mechanical ventilation for patients.
• Communicates with the healthcare team about patient care.
• Educates patients and families; participates in QA and performance improvement.
