Job summary

Select Medical in Milwaukee is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for part-time night shifts (two 12-hour shifts per week) at Milwaukee St. Francis. The role focuses on ventilator management, airway maintenance, pulmonary assessment, and ventilator weaning, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to support patient recovery.

You will work 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a $7,000 sign-on bonus. The position emphasizes compassionate care for severely ill patients in an inpatient post-ICU setting,

Qualifications

• Active NBRC CRT or RRT credential.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and utilize RT-driven protocols to liberate patients from mechanical ventilation.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform bronchoscopies and arterial blood gas sampling as needed.
• Promote continuous quality improvement and educate patients/families.

Location: Milwaukee St. Francis

Hours: Part Time Nights- 2 twelve hour shifts per week with rotating weekends

6:30 PM-7:00 AM

Compensation: $7,000 Sign-on bonus

Minimum Requirements

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred Qualifications

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
