Select Medical is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) for per diem/night shift at Milwaukee St. Francis. Responsibilities focus on ventilator management, airway maintenance, pulmonary assessment and weaning, collaborating with the care team to achieve optimal outcomes.

The role offers a $4,000 sign-on bonus for PRN, plus night/weekend differentials. Candidates must have NBRC credential, BLS, state licensure, and ACLS by start. Part-time/per diem options available.

Qualifications

• Active NBRC credential (CRT or RRT) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation: college transcript/diploma preferred; HS transcript or GED accepted.
• BLS certification must be current by start date.
• Current state licensure is required to practice.
• ACLS required upon hire (agency RT must have ACLS on first shift).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and use RT-driven protocols to liberate from mechanical ventilation and adjust treatment as needed.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical or surgical conditions.
• Perform bronchoscopies as indicated.
• Obtain and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Promote continuous quality improvement in respiratory care.
• Educate and counsel patients and families.

Position: Respiratory Therapist (RT) - Per Diem/ PRN- Nights

Location: Milwaukee St. Francis

Compensation: $46 per hour plus night and weekend shift differentials

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Must possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
• Proof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• Current state licensure is required.
• ACLS is required upon hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift)

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) year of related experience is preferred.
