Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide assessment, treatment, and evaluation of patients with respiratory disorders under licensed medical direction.

Responsibilities include administering therapeutic respiratory care procedures, documenting care and billing information, performing diagnostic procedures, and educating patients and staff; requires Pennsylvania licensure and CRT certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.
• PA state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) required before TPP expiration.

• Completes documentation to measure, monitor, and ensure department effectiveness (charting, billing, IPOC, patient education).
• Performs diagnostic respiratory procedures per hospital policies.

• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy.
• Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) National Board of Respiratory Care required prior to the expiration of the Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).

Preferred

• Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care RRT.
• Two years’ experience in pulmonary/respiratory medicine in a hospital setting.

• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
