Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care across respiratory services per physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as a resource to nursing staff, performing duties as assigned.

The role requires RCP licensure and NBRC RRT credential, with PALS for ER coworkers; ACLS preferred. Training to NICU on a rotating basis is included, with day and night shifts and opportunities across part- and full-time openings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS is required for coworkers in the Emergency Room.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
