Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to support care across multiple Advocate hospital campuses. This is a full-time, 40-hour workweek with a $12/hour differential and a pay range of $35.50–$53.25 per hour.

You will manage ventilators, provide airway and therapy services, educate patients, and collaborate with physicians and care teams. Licensure and NBRC credentials are required, along with BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program, with a minimum of an associate degree.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner license in the practicing state.
• NBRC credential: RRT or CRT within required timeframe.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate ventilators in critical and non-critical care venues.
• Provide medication treatments and therapies per physician orders.
• Educate patients on therapy purpose, technique, and self-care.
• Collaborate with departments to manage patient care and safety.
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper functionality.
