Job summary

Horizon Specialty Hospital-LasVegas is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide critical care support for patients with respiratory conditions. You will work closely with physicians and the healthcare team to deliver treatments and improve patient outcomes.

Full-time night shifts with benefits start on the first day of the month following your start date. You must hold an RCP license, NBRC RRT, and BLS/ACLS credentials, with a Blood Gas Tech or General Supervisor Certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold state licensure as an RCP in good standing.
• Must be NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• BLS and ACLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA) are required.
• Blood Gas Tech or General Supervisor Certification is required.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess responses to ordered therapy per plan of care including routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures.
• Utilize oxygen and other therapeutic gas equipment (masks, tents, incubators) as prescribed.
• Monitor, document and communicate patient conditions and responses to treatments.

Position Summary

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess responses to ordered therapy per plan of care including routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures.
• Utilize various types of oxygen and other therapeutic gas equipment such as masks, tents, and incubators.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient conditions and general acceptance of treatments, as well as administer medicinal gases and aerosol drugs as prescribed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be a licensed RCP in good standing with the state (as required)
• Must be a current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Must have BLS and ACLS accredited from American Heart Association (AHA)
• Must have Blood Gas Tech or General Supervisor Certification
• Reliable transportation required
