Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to assist in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with pulmonary disorders. You will collect specimens and analyze gas levels to assess oxygenation and ventilation, and administer prescribed respiratory therapies.

Education includes an AAS in Respiratory Care with NBRC licensure; RRT/CRT credentials accepted. BLS is required, and 0–2 years experience is acceptable with licensure in good standing.

Qualifications

• AAS in Respiratory Care from an AMA approved School of Respiratory Therapy.
• Licensure: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by NBRC.
• Licensed by state boards (SC) where applicable.
• BLS certification is required (American Heart Association or Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Assists in diagnosis, treatment and management of pulmonary disorders.
• Oversees respiratory therapy technicians and coordinates respiratory care.
• Participates in weekends/holidays/emergency coverage as needed.
