Job summary

North Park Care Community in Brook Park, OH seeks a skilled Respiratory Therapist to assess, treat, and support residents with breathing disorders. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care in a long-term care setting.

The role involves administering respiratory therapies, monitoring patient responses, and coordinating with nursing and medical staff to ensure safe, effective treatment plans. A current RT license and strong English communication are required.

Qualifications

• Must have current, unencumbered license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the state.
• Ability to understand and communicate in English.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed to provide timely care.
• Knowledge of supply practices, procedures and guidelines.
• Ability to minimize waste of supplies and misuse of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency respiratory care including artificial respiration and CPR.
• Perform pulmonary function testing and adjust equipment for optimal therapy.
• Conduct respiratory tests to evaluate cardiopulmonary function of residents.
• Review physician orders and respiratory therapy requests for residents.
• Assist physicians with respiratory therapy and related research as needed.
• Develop and participate in staff training and in-service education.
