The role includes performing ventilator management, arterial blood gas analysis, patient rounds, and documentation of respiratory progress. You will assist in cardiorespiratory arrests, administer nitric oxide therapy, and educate staff and families on respiratory care devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under physician direction.
• Make rounds to determine if patient is receiving proper respiratory care.
• Conduct ventilator management.
• Draw and analyze arterial blood gases.
• Record respiratory progress of ventilated patients.
• Assist physicians in ventilating patients during cardiorespiratory arrests.
• Provide sputum induction.
• Administer Nitric Oxide Therapy.
• Explain use of respiratory care devices to patients and families.
