Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System Corporation seeks Respiratory Therapists to join the team at University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center in Largo, MD. This part-time role offers a cohesive team environment and opportunities to support a growing trauma-capable program.

Responsibilities include patient-focused respiratory care, adherence to protocols, and ongoing professional development through PAM and certification opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or approved certificate program required.
• One year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist required; 3-5 years preferred.
• Current Maryland license in good standing as a Respiratory Therapist; NBRC CRT and RRT certifications within six months of employment.
• STABLE Neonatal guidelines certification required for staff caring for neonates.
• BLS Certification through the American Heart Association or ability to obtain/renew by start date.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory care by physician prescription across care sites.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations, data interpretation and therapy management.
• Support education, rehabilitation and care of patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies.
