Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to monitor and support patients on mechanical ventilation across campuses. You will assist physicians during procedures, set up ventilators, and modify therapy per department protocols, while maintaining NBRC credentials and Massachusetts licensure progress.

A signing bonus may be available and you will work to meet licensure requirements while providing exceptional patient care across the health system.

Qualifications

• Must hold NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Associate's degree in Respiratory Care required.
• Must obtain MA license within 2 months after hire.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or equivalent.
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support patients on mechanical ventilation.
• Provide respiratory support and cardiopulmonary resuscitation as required.
• Assist physician/anesthesia during intubations.
• Assist physicians with bronchoscopies and related procedures at bedside.
• Establish treatment plans and modify therapy per department protocols.
