Job summary

Pediatric Home Service, Inc. is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide in-home pediatric respiratory care in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves evaluating patients, coordinating with care teams, and educating families while ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to policies.

This position requires a graduate of an accredited program, active LRTRCP license, and BLS. Pediatric experience is preferred; on-call duties and a Monday–Friday schedule are noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited respiratory or nursing program.
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LRTRCP) by The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBR).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• One year of pediatric experience as a Respiratory Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessments and develop plans of care.
• Ensure communication and coordination of services among clinical teams.
• Set up initial equipment and provide patient/family education.
• Develop and revise patient-specific care plans and monitor progress.
• Complete required documentation accurately and timely per policy.
• Participate in care conferences and collaborate with care team members.
• Troubleshoot day-to-day clinical issues and notify on-call leadership.
• Schedule patient visits according to follow-up policy.

Job description

Position Respiratory Therapist

Location Indianapolis IN

Hours Monday Friday 8 am 5 pm WeekendsOn call as determined by leadership

• The Position Uses analytical ability to perform initial patient assessments including physical functional social and environmental resource requirements and needs
• Ensures communication and coordination of services care among all clinical services
• Performs initial equipment set up and patient family caregiver education
• Develops patient specific plans of care based on initial assessments to include problems goals and interventions
• Reviews and revises care plans on an ongoing basis and ensure that all patients are followed according to that plan per PHS policy
• Ensures that all required documentation is completed accurately and within the time frames set forth in PHS policy
• Participates in care conferences and collaborates with all care team members internally and externally
• Participates in day to day trouble shooting
• Performs all on call activities analyze problems formulates solutions and notifies manager on call as needed
• Schedule all patient visits per PHS follow up policy

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory program andor nursing program
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist LRTRCP by The National Board of Respiratory Care NBR
• Current Basic Life Support BLS certification required
• One year of pediatric experience as a Respiratory Therapist

Preferred Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT
• Neonatal & Pediatric Specialist NPS certification
