Job summary

Pediatric Home Service, Inc. seeks a Respiratory Therapist to provide pediatric home and community care coordination. The role requires NBRC-licensed LRT/RCP, BLS, and at least one year of pediatric experience, with duties spanning patient assessments, education, care-plan development, documentation, and on-call support.

Based in Indianapolis, IN, the position offers weekday hours with some on-call duties and a commitment to high-quality, family-centered care in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory program and/or nursing program.
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LRT/RCP) by NBRC.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• One year of pediatric experience as a Respiratory Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Uses analytical ability to perform initial patient assessments including physical, functional, social and environmental resource requirements and needs; Ensures communication and coordination of services /care among all clinical services.
• Performs initial equipment set-up and patient/family/caregiver education.
• Develops patient specific plans of care based on initial assessments to include problems, goals and interventions.
• Reviews and revises care plans on an ongoing basis and ensure that all patients are followed according to that plan per PHS policy.
• Ensures that all required documentation is completed accurately and within the time frames set forth in PHS policy.
• Participates in day-to-day care conferences and collaborates with all care team members internally and externally.
• Participates in day-to-day trouble shooting; Performs all on-call activities, analyze problems, formulates solutions, and notifies manager on-call as needed.
• Schedule all patient visits per PHS follow-up policy.

• Position: Respiratory Therapist
• Location: Indianapolis, IN
• Hours: Monday- Friday, 8 am- 5 pm. Weekends/On-call as determined by leadership
• Requirements: Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LRT/RCP) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Neonatal & Pediatric Specialist (NPS) certification
