Job summary

Indiana University Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to evaluate and treat cardiopulmonary disorders in patients at IU North. You will collaborate with nursing staff and respiratory teams to deliver personalized care and CPAP education, while contributing to a patient-first culture.

The role requires an Indiana Respiratory Care Practitioner license, CoARC-accredited program completion, NBRC registry completion within 6 months, and strong communication skills; ACLS/PALS/NRP are

Qualifications

• Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Indiana.
• Graduation from a CoARC-accredited respiratory care program.
• NBRC registry exam completed within 6 months of hire date (6-month grace after graduation).
• Healthcare Provider Certification; other advanced life support may be required per unit policies.
• ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to handle confidential patient information.
• Basic computer skills and EMR proficiency.
• DME experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Collaborate with nurses, Advanced Respiratory Therapists, and Clinical Specialists.
• Participate in CPAP education and patient education initiatives.
• Engage in on-call rotation after first year of service.
• Support hospital operations and promote patient happiness and safety.
