Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a full-time Respiratory Therapist for the night shift at our Evanston Hospital location. You will provide respiratory therapy as ordered, assess patients to determine the best administration method, document treatments and orders, and communicate clearly with patients and families.

Responsibilities include monitoring pediatric and neonatal responses, ensuring equipment maintenance, and educating patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• RRT or registry eligible status.
• State licensure within six months of employment.
• Current CPR certification by AHA.

Hourly Pay Range: $33.16 - $51.40 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors. This application is an evergreen opportunity, which means by applying once, you’ll be considered for current and future night shift Respiratory Therapist positions at our Evanston Hospital location. Sign-on bonus potential up to $25,000 for full-time nights!

Position Highlights:

• Full-time Night shift (3rd shift)

What you will do:

• Provide respiratory therapy to patients as ordered by physicians according hospital policy and procedures
• Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment
• Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe verbal or phone order by physicians
• Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner
• Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients
• Provide patient and staff education

What you will need:

• Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or proof of registry eligible status
• State of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure within six months of employment
• Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association
