Qualifications

• RT 1: NBRC licensure (RRT/CRT) required; new grads welcome.
• RT 2: 1 year of recent respiratory therapy experience; NBRC license; BLS; 6 months as RT1 at BRH.
• RT 3: 3 years of recent clinical experience; NBRC license; BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, TEAM/CPI.

Responsibilities

Bartlett Regional Hospital is looking for a Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Therapyteam!

Pay Information:

Internal Hires:Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on applicable Rules or Union Contract Terms.

External Hires: Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.

RT 1 starts at $45.48 per hour and up

RT 2 starts at $49.84 per hour and up

• RT 3 starts at $54.18 per hour and up

Job Summary:

RT 1: The Respiratory Therapist 1 is a recent graduate who provides respiratory care under the supervision of a licensed respiratory therapist. This role assists with basic therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, such as oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and patient monitoring, while gaining hands‑on experience and developing clinical skills.

RT 2: The Respiratory Therapist 2 is a journey-to-advanced therapist who provides respiratory care independently. This position provides respiratory care to patients across all age groups from newborn to elder in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. This role requires clinical expertise in therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, ventilator management, and emergency response.

RT 3: The Respiratory Therapist 3 is an advanced therapist who provides respiratory care independently, serving as a clinical expert and mentor, supporting staff development and high‑quality care. This role precepts RT staff and students, contributes to education, protocols, and quality initiatives, and participates in committees. The RT3 is a key resource for clinical knowledge and helps advance department goals through leadership and collaboration.

Minimum Qualifications for the position:

RT 1:

• Education: N/A
• Experience: N/A – New graduates or RT’s with less than one year experience
• License(s) Required: Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure and/or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Certification(s) Required: None

RT 2:

• Education: N/A
• Experience: One (1) year of recent respiratory therapy experience
  • Substitution(s): Six (6) months as a Respiratory Therapist 1 at BRH
    • Preferred Experience: Hospital / acute care experience
• License(s) Required: Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure and/or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Certification(s) Required: BLS

RT 3:

• Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in respiratory therapy or related field
• Experience: Three (3) years of recent clinical respiratory therapy experience (in the last five years)
  • Substitution(s): Eighteen (18) months of full-time experience at BRH as an RT 2
    • *Must demonstrate clinical competency in ED, CCU, OB and outpatient care
• License(s) Required: Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure and/or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Certification(s) Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, TEAM/CPI
