Job summary

Accolade Healthcare in Illinois is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver expert respiratory care to residents in our long-term care and home health settings. You will perform assessments, therapies, and education, working closely with an interdisciplinary team to support patients' highest possible respiratory function.

The role requires CRT or RRT credentials, an active Illinois license, CPR certification, and LTC or sub-acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT credentials.
• Active license in good standing with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
• CPR certified; ACLS preferred.
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
• Experience as a Respiratory Therapist in Home Health/LTACH/sub-acute setting is a plus.
• Position is not remote.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient evaluation.
• Provide thorough medical record evaluation.
• Provide appropriate treatment to help residents maintain respiratory function.
• Evaluate and care for residents with respiratory problems (e.g., tracheostomies, aerosols, suctioning).
• Analyze outcomes and recommend changes to the care plan.
• Manage and wean supplemental oxygen and trachs.
• Assist with pulmonary rehab modalities.
• Perform all aspects of direct respiratory patient care.
• Educate residents or caregivers on respiratory care and maintain supplies.
