Job summary

Accolade Healthcare in Paxton, IL is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to promote and restore patients' health. You will perform respiratory assessments, monitoring, and clinical interventions as part of the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications include active CRT/RRT credentials with Illinois license and CPR; ACLS preferred. Experience in Long Term Care or sub-acute settings is a plus. This is not a remote position, and a competitive pay rate of $40–$45 per hour is offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient evaluation.
• Provide thorough medical record evaluation.
• Provide appropriate treatment to help residents maintain or attain the highest level of respiratory function possible.
• Evaluate, treat, and care for residents with respiratory problems including tracheostomies and suctioning.
• Evaluate resident care and outcomes related to respiratory care; suggest changes to care plans.
• Recommend and/or provide appropriate treatment to prevent decline in respiratory function.
• Manage and wean supplemental oxygen.
• Manage and wean trachs.
• Assist with pulmonary rehab modalities.
• Perform all aspects of direct respiratory patient care.
• Educate residents or caregivers on respiratory health.
• Operate respiratory care equipment safely.
• Participate in staff education.
• Maintain respiratory supply stock.
• Assist nursing staff when required.
• All other duties as assigned.
