Job summary

Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for the night shift to provide diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services in a busy clinical setting. You will support physicians, educate patients and staff, and maintain respiratory care equipment on a 36-hour weekly schedule.

Requirements include an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, Michigan license upon hire, NBRC registry, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• State license to practice respiratory therapy is required upon hire.
• NBRC registry credential required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in patient care.
• Participates in education of patients, students, staff and physicians.
• Provides technical support for equipment used in Respiratory Care.
• Assists with general department functions as part of the team.

About Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital

Corewell Health Farmington Hills opened on Jan. 19, 1965 as a 200-bed facility known then as Botsford General Hospital. Today, Corewell Health Farmington Hills Hospital is a 305-bed teaching facility with Level II trauma status.

Scope of work

Under minimal direction, the Registered Respiratory Therapist: implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders; participates in the education of patients, students, staff and physicians; provides technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care; assists with general department functions.

Qualifications

• Required Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy
• Respiratory Therapist License - State of Michigan Upon Hire required
• Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC National Board for Respiratory Care Upon Hire required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or American Red Cross Upon Hire required
