Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved school of Respiratory Care.
• Licensed in Massachusetts in respiratory care (full or limited).
• Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Maintain licensure CEUs per MA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient-centered care and customer service.
• Document all care activities and charges in the EMR.
• Participate in department and performance improvement activities.
• Demonstrate competency with arterial blood gas machines.
• Demonstrate competency with mechanical ventilators.
• Demonstrate competency with V60 NIPPV devices.
• Demonstrate competency with High Flow Oxygen Therapy systems.
• Disinfect, transport and set up non-disposable equipment.
• Adhere to the Hospitals’ Standards of Behavior.
• Complete annual department competencies.
