Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Omaha, NE seeks a Respiratory Therapist to assess and treat patients from neonate to adult, ensuring clinically appropriate respiratory care as prescribed. Day shift, 36-hour week with weekend/holiday/call rotation, and a generous sign-on bonus of up to $17,500 are offered.

Required are an Associate of Science in Respiratory Care, CRT and state license; 3-6 months of healthcare experience and BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications as applicable.

Qualifications

• Associates of Science Degree with a certificate in Respiratory Care required.
• 3-6 months of on-the-job experience to gain knowledge of hospital policies, procedures and routines required.
• CRT certification and RCP license required at time of hire; BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine modalities of respiratory care independent of direct supervision.
• Documents procedures in patient records.
• Updates the patient care plans and goals to reflect appropriate patient care needs.
• Communicates with the patient care team regarding condition and progress.
• Ensures therapy aligns with protocol guidelines and aims for high patient satisfaction.
