Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires a high degree of ability and skill in written and verbal communication.
• Associate degree with certificate in Respiratory Care required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3-6 months of on-the-job experience to gain knowledge of policies, procedures and routines.
• RRT credential required within 12 months of accepting the Advanced Practitioner position.
• RCP license for work state required.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications current.
• PALS required within 6 months of hire; NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and complex modalities of respiratory care under supervision.
• Documents procedures in patient records and the medical information system.
• Assesses patients and updates care plans to reflect needs.
• Collaborates with physicians and care team to ensure appropriate therapy.
• Maintains protocol guidelines to deliver high quality respiratory care.
