Job summary

Nebraska Methodist Health System in Omaha, NE is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our night shift team. You will assess respiratory patients, deliver prescribed care from neonate to adult, and work 36 hours per week with weekend/holiday/call rotation.

Requirements include an Associate of Science with Respiratory Care certificate, 3–6 months of experience, CRT, state license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS within 6 months. Join a mission-driven team delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Associates of Science Degree with a certificate in Respiratory Care required.
• 3-6 months of on-the-job experience to gain knowledge of hospital policies and routines.
• CRT (National Board of Respiratory Care) required at time of hire.
• RCP license for work state required.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS required (PALS within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Performs routine modalities of respiratory care independent of direct supervision.
• Documents procedures in patient record and medical information system.
• Develops, reviews and revises plans of care to provide optimum outcomes.
• Receives and interprets physician orders and evaluates patients with attending physician.
• Communicates with care team and gives reports to oncoming providers.
• Keeps protocols and patient care plans up to date and ensures therapy is appropriate.
