Qualifications

• BLS through American Heart Association required.
• NJ licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner required.
• PALS/NRP certifications to be obtained within 12 months for all staff.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' pulmonary status and develop a care plan with the physician and nurses.
• Deliver prescribed respiratory care and monitor patient responses.
• Report safety issues and participate in quality monitoring.
• Precept and mentor new Respiratory Therapists on the unit.
