Job summary

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree preferred
• NJ licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner required
• CRT or RRT NBRC preferred
• BLS required
• PALS and NRP to be obtained within the first twelve months of employment for all full and part time staff

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' pulmonary status and plan of care with physicians and nurses.
• Deliver respiratory care and report safety issues.
• Maintain documentation and multidisciplinary teaching records.
• Reduce length of stay through timely interventions.
• Collaborate with the team on care plans, discharge planning, and education.
• Manage ventilated patients and conduct ABG processing within scope.
• Monitor patient outcomes and participate in quality improvement.
• Mentor new staff and support clinical education.
