Job summary

You will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients across ages and acuities, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to support optimal outcomes.

This role supports eligible staff to pass the registered therapist test within 1 year and offers opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Must have an active Respiratory Care Practitioner license (IDFPR) and NBRC CRT/RRT certification.
• CoARC or CoARTE approved Respiratory Care Program required.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications within specified timelines.
• 1+ years of respiratory therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs all forms of respiratory therapy and related duties per policies.
• Interprets and executes physician orders for patient care.
• Ventilator management and maintenance; adjust settings and alarms.
• Educates patients and family members about respiratory therapies.
• Maintains accurate documentation and records of care and procedures.
• Responds to pages and emergencies promptly and adheres to infection control procedures.
