St. Charles Health System is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory assessment, support, treatment and diagnostics as part of the healthcare team, aligning with our mission and policies.

The role covers adult, geriatric, pediatric and neonatal patient care, ventilator and airway management, medication delivery, patient monitoring, and collaboration with physicians during codes, trauma, and high‑risk deliveries.

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist licensure with the Oregon Health Licensing Office.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) registration.
• NRP required to be assigned to NICU/FBC or to function as lead therapist.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Manages, assesses, plans, and evaluates care for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and performs established respiratory procedures.
• Ventilator management across modes, monitor interactions, and administer inhaled medications and exogenous gases.
• Airway management including artificial airways, tracheostomy care, and intubation assistance.
• Monitor patients via ABG, EtCO2, SpO2, vitals, and hemodynamic-related data.
• Document patient care and comply with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
