Responsibilities

• Provides respiratory assessment, support, treatment and diagnostic tests as part of the healthcare team.
• Ventilator management including modes, lung protective strategies and patient-ventilator interactions.
• Airway management including artificial airways, tracheostomy care and decannulation.
• Monitors arterial blood gases, EtCO2, SpO2, vital signs and related hemodynamics.
• Administers oxygen therapy and inhaled medications per orders and policies.
• Documents care accurately and maintains a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Takes part in clinical teams and may float to other campuses as needed.
