The role covers adult, geriatric, pediatric and neonatal care and follows hospital policies and procedures. Lead Therapist duties include guiding staff during shifts, distributing workload, performing quality audits and communicating departmental needs.

Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist licensure in Oregon.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• NRP required for NICU lead responsibilities.
• Preferred NBRC credentials (RPFT/ACC(S)/NPS).

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and evaluate care for patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies.
• Manage all modes of mechanical ventilation with lung-protective strategies.
• Airway management including tracheostomy care and intubation support.
• Monitor arterial blood gases, EtCO2, SpO2 and vital signs.
• Document care, ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• May float to other St. Charles Health System campuses as needed.
