Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive care per department policy. You will review charts, set up equipment and meds, administer therapies, and document responses.

Responsibilities include ventilator management, suctioning, airway support, and patient rounds. Requires MA licensure, NBRC registration, and BLS; two years' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a two year AMA approved program in Respiratory Care.
• Must have a current MA license as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Must be NBRC-registered as Respiratory Therapist before start date.
• BLS certification required before start date.

Responsibilities

• Conduct respiratory care per department policy and procedure.
• Review patient charts and interpret physician orders.
• Set up equipment and medications for tests and therapies.
• Administer prescribed tests, treatments and therapy.
• Operate ventilators and monitor patients on ventilation.
• Perform suctioning and airway management as needed.
• Document all treatments in patient charts and note responses.
• Attend meetings and participate in quality improvement activities.
