Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide critical care services following AARC CPG. You will assess patients, administer therapies, and monitor outcomes under physician supervision in a busy hospital setting.

Required RRT license and BLS certification; ACLS preferred. The role includes ventilator management, documentation, and collaboration with the respiratory care team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience: will consider applicants with less than one year of respiratory therapy experience.
• Certification/Licensure: RRT license required; BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides respiratory therapy in a physician-supervised environment following AARC CPG and departmental standards.
• Administers therapies and monitors patient response, safety, and outcomes.
• Maintains and calibrates ventilators and related respiratory equipment.
• Performs routine patient assessments and pulmonary function testing as needed.
• Documents therapies, patient responses, and any complications in the medical record.
