Job Responsibilities
  • Assessment: Assess patients, families, and clients, recognizing normal parameters and abnormalities related to cardio-pulmonary needs using a family-centered approach. Collect clinical data, utilize decision trees and guidelines, and match knowledge with clinical events to make decisions.
  • Clinical Judgment: Demonstrate competence in technical skills, comply with policies, document care properly, set and evaluate goals, and provide structured education to patients and families.
  • Collaboration: Work on behalf of patients and families, address ethical issues, represent patient needs to the healthcare team, participate in meetings, and support leadership initiatives.
  • Evidence-Based Practice and Research: Recognize the value of research, utilize evidence-based practices, and implement researched practices.

To function as a professional respiratory therapist, apply theoretical knowledge, demonstrate competence, and pursue professional growth.

Job Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field
  • 0+ years of related work experience
  • RT License, Registered RT, or graduate of a CoARC-approved program
